Contact safely

To help us find the right record, include the Support ID or App User ID shown in the app. For purchase questions, include non-sensitive Apple order or transaction information if available.

Keep sensitive data out of email

Never email your photo, Sign in with Apple token, full receipt or raw receipt/JWS, password, session token, provider secret, or other sensitive material.

Purchase recovery

A Generation Pass is a one-time consumable purchase for one paid Barber Card run. You do not need a CutBrief account to buy it or use Restore Purchases. On the same device, CutBrief uses your anonymous App User ID and server ledger to check Apple transaction status, unused passes, and available paid History.

Optional Sign in with Apple can link backend-known unused passes and paid History across devices. Restore or recovery does not make an already consumed pass available again.

If nothing is found, confirm that the app shows the expected App User ID. If you previously set up optional Sign in with Apple recovery on another device, link the same identity and try again. Otherwise, email support with your Support ID and non-sensitive Apple order or transaction information.

Failed delivery and the core package

One paid run uses photo-based AI appearance analysis to refine the same confirmed consultation into Safe, Upgrade, and Bold, plus a Barber Card, PDF/share, and server-backed paid History. The paid Upgrade may differ from the free Upgrade.

The pass is consumed when all three Safe, Upgrade, and Bold recommendations and the Barber Card are ready. If a paid run fails before those four core items are ready, CutBrief will not intentionally consume the pass permanently. The app will retry safely or return the pass according to the recorded delivery state. If the status does not recover, contact support with your Support ID.

After separate consent, the pass automatically starts one visual simulation for each direction. Up to three may be delivered, with up to six provider attempts in total for the pass. Technical retries stay inside that shared cap and do not require another pass; no retry is allocated or guaranteed per direction.

A visual simulation is not an exact preview, and successful delivery is not guaranteed. A simulation failure does not remove an already delivered core Barber Card package. Completed directions remain visible; a failed direction can use the same-pass retry or support path without another purchase.

Apple-controlled refunds

Refund requests and approval are handled by Apple. Request a refund through Apple’s Report a Problem service. CutBrief cannot approve or promise a refund.

If Apple approves, declines, or reverses a refund, access and pass status are updated from Apple’s records. An approved refund revokes the original transaction’s pass and prevents its future use. A replacement is not automatic. At most one replacement may be issued only after an authorized review verifies an app- or provider-side failure before all three recommendations and the Barber Card were ready. A run with those four core items ready does not receive a replacement pass.

Local free History and paid History

Free Upgrade

Your free Upgrade is saved only in local History on that device. Use Clear local history in the app to remove it. It is not included in server or account export, account deletion, Restore Purchases, or Sign in with Apple recovery. It cannot be recovered after you clear it, remove the app, or lose the app data.

Paid History

Paid History is server-backed after successful paid generation. Same-device recovery uses the anonymous App User ID and server ledger. Optional Sign in with Apple can link backend-known paid History across devices; it is not required for anonymous purchase or same-device recovery.

Data and account deletion

Use Settings → Data Controls in the app to export or delete anonymous server session data without creating an account, revoke share links, and clear local free History.

If you linked optional Sign in with Apple recovery, the in-app Delete Account flow permanently removes or irreversibly unlinks account-linked consultation data, Barber Card history, generated visual simulations, exports, and share links that CutBrief controls. It also signs the device out and disconnects Sign in with Apple. Device-local free History is separate and remains until you use Clear local history.

CutBrief retains only the minimum purchase, refund, fraud-prevention, security, and legal records that it must or is permitted to keep. Account deletion does not cancel an Apple refund request and cannot erase records controlled by Apple or temporary abuse-monitoring records controlled by an AI provider. See Data Choices and the Privacy Policy for details.

If the in-app deletion flow reports a recoverable failure, try again or email support with the Deletion Request ID shown in the app. Do not include sensitive material.
